Glenside
This SF Bay Area family home was envisioned as a forever space—one that feels collected over time rather than designed all at once. With a full move-in scope, the interiors blend classic, vintage sensibility with a modern rustic ease, creating rooms that are casual, inviting, and deeply livable. Built-ins throughout the home—including a kitchen nook, living room bookcases, and custom cabinetry—were thoughtfully designed to support family life, offering generous storage for children’s toys alongside ample space for the clients’ beloved book collection. A quiet reading nook tucked into the living room creates a moment of pause, perfect for solo reading or sharing a book with a child on your lap. The family room centers around a large, loungy sectional and ottoman layered with cozy pillows, designed for relaxed evenings of family TV watching. Warm, grounded tones are layered with accents of green and blue to echo the surrounding landscape, while a cozy dining room wrapped in wallpaper and anchored by a large table welcomes gatherings of their extended family. A special powder room, finished with vintage wallpaper and a one-of-a-kind 1920s mirror, feels like its own intimate jewel box. The primary suite was designed as a quiet oasis, with an enveloping wallpapered accent wall, vintage furnishings, Persian rugs, organic linen bedding, and warm, creamy walls that create a sense of calm. A commissioned triptych by a local artist, inspired by the hills where the children will grow up, grounds the home in place and memory. The result is a house that feels authentic, intentional, and lived-in—as though it has always belonged to its owners.
